It was held at Open University Malaysia, KL on 15th and 16th October 2016. Me and my fellow PhD candidate friends (5 of them), the Dean and 4 other professors were there. On the first day, there were 4 presentations by the profs and 1 experience sharing by an ex-PhD student. Even though all presentations were short, but we gained some valuable knowledge and open up our perspective on what next that we need to do.
On the second day, it was time for the PhD candidates to present their thesis proposal. I would say, the gang were superbly presented their proposal. There were good comments by the profs and Dean as well. As for me, I did great! Being the only candidate who talk about counseling theories, I got remarkable comment by one prof... "It looks like you are clear on what you wanna do. I think you may proceed... and good luck".
So here I am... writing my new entry in my small blog while waiting for my client. I will need to take a day off to spend some times in the university library later. Need to get some books for the references.
Above all, I look forward for our next workshop. Hopefully in couple of months from now, me and my gang would be able to join any conference or workshop or seminar on PhD preparation. Would love to sit in for research methodology or statistics class.
